L1 Walnut Smooth Maxima Two Tone
A Danish inspired shape which is finished with a two tone
staining. It may be a bit difficult to see in this photo, but
the
briar above the ring (bullcap style) at the top of the bowl is
finished in a darker stain. It makes the pipe extremely attractive,
as if it already weren't attractive enough. With the saddle stem
the pipe looks like a bent Dublin as opposed to an Oliphant,
which is what it would look like if it had been mounted
with a tapered bit.
That pipe cleaner still has an unimpeded trip through the stem,
down the shank to the dead center of the bowl.
